Join Diversearts for its first annual celebration showcasing of the best of Austin’s rock and funk music scene. The open air space of Kenny Dorhams Backyard will be rockin’ and grooving for two consecututive days, as host to a truly Austin style musically diverse event.

Diverse Arts Culture Works Presents: The First Annual Rock Show and Funk Fest this SXSW, at Kenny Dorham's Backyard! Join us for our first annual celebration, showcasing the very best of Austin’s rock and funk music scenes! Over the course of the two day festival, the open-air space of Kenny Dorham’s Backyard will play host to rockin’ riffs, and bumpin’ funk in what is sure to be one of Austin’s most authentic and diverse festivals this season.

Tons of great refreshments: Beer, soft-drinks, healthy food fr
om Sun Farm Kitchens, and organic gardens at Kenny Dorham's Backyard make for an ultra-fun atmosphere and promote healthy food awareness in Austin!

Special Attraction (Saturday): Professional artists The Trust Your Struggle Collective will be painting a live, large-scale mural next to the stage. This unique and exciting opportunity engages the community deeply in their local art and music, while also encouraging art awareness as part of a holistic appreciation for culture, medium, and talent.

The fun kicks off Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13th and March 14th. Doors open at 5pm and bands start at 6pm.
