In association with Diverse Arts organization, Bemba Entertainment brings you XEMUMBA!!!

Xemumba \SHEH-moom-bah\ is a celebration of the many styles of music that Latin and South America has given us. This is a festival founded by me, Brandon Badillo, in September of 2007. I created this event to not only bring these different styles of music together for an evening, but to raise money for my Grandpa, Francisco, in his fight against cancer.

With just minimal advertising, Xemumba proved to be a great success with over 300 ecstatic attendees on that very special evening. I had no excuse for not keeping Xemumba around so I decided to make it an annual event and watch it grow.
This year Xemumba will take place on a cool Saturday, October 24th at Kenny Dorham's Backyard from 10am - 12am. Xemumba will bring Latin and South America to people in a time when it is just too expensive to travel. Those attending will experience over 10 performances ranging from Samba to Afro Cuban to Cumbia to Latin hip hop and many more.

Xemumba will continue to give back as it did for Francisco just two years ago. This year and in years to come, xemumba will donat

e a percentage of the proceeds to non profit organizations. This year's beneficiaries are Lupe Arte, National Hispanic Institute, and People Fund.

This festival is a very special event and will continue to grow, not just in physical capacity, but in the hearts of those attending every year.
