DiverseArts is pleased to announce the print sale and closing reception of our exhibit, Reji Thomas: Unshattered, to take place on June 6th. Thomas is a master craftsperson well known for her glasswork, both commercial and fine art, combining a variety of techniques to achieve works unparalleled in their confidence and execution. Her expertise not limited to glass, Thomas is one of Austin’s finest visual artists, and Unshattered features her abstract paintings, on wood and canvas. Her painting shares in the characteristic intensity of her other work, riots of line and color that not only confront viewers but also dazzle them with their beauty.

As an artist working in Austin for over 20 years, Reji Thomas operates a successful glass art production business that has produced pieces for clients around the world. Thomas’ commercial work and fine art vividly illustrates her mastery of varied materials, methods, and technology.  Her skill for sand blasting, hot glass casting, and welding produces glass pieces that distinguish her from her contemporaries—the work has a signature style, a “look.”  Her abstract paintings exude emotion and empathy, and her current work magnifies this with over-sized pieces on canvas and wood.

Please join us on June 6th, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, for the print sale and closing reception of Reji Thomas: Unshattered view Thomas’ paintings, meet the artist and purchase prints of her work.
